Chief secy suggests master plan for metro extension

During a meeting of the Special Task Force (STF), the Andhra Pradesh State Chief Secretary PK Mohanty suggested Hyderabad Metro Rail to prepare a master plan for future rail extensions. In order to meet the future needs of fast expanding city, Mohanty suggested the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Commissioner NK Prasad and Hyderabad Metro Rail Managing Director NVS Reddy to develop a Master Plan for future Metro Rail extensions.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) got the green light from the Railways to build road overbridges (ROBs) at three central railway stations in Mumbai. Jharkhand Chief Minister BabulalMarandi on June 25 flagged off the first passenger train between Koderma and Nawadih on Koderma-Nawadih-Giridih railway track under Dhanbad division. The railway network - the foundation stone for which was laid by former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 2005 - will help people of Koderma, Domchanch, Markacho, Maheshpu and Nawadih.
