Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said on February 3 that a 'Road Maintenance Policy will be ready for construction of new roads and upkeep of existing ones in Bihar. The NDA government in Bihar has been giving top priority to construction of roads and has declared 4,857 km as state highways. Work is in progress on a 387 km stretch, he added.

MP gets Centre’s nod to construct 4,675 km roads
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), the Union government has sanctioned 4,675 km long 1,521 new roads costing Rs 1,780 crore to Madhya Pradesh. Following construction of these roads, 1,600 habitats will be linked by all-weather roads with development block, tehsil and district levels, an official release issued in Bhopal said.

Rs 20 cr allotted to bypass road in Kerala’s Kottayam dist
In Kerala's Kottayam district, the combined bypass road that connects MC road at Thiruvalla to KK Road in Manarcad will soon be a reality. The tendering process for upgrading the existing road is complete, said Jose K Mani MP on February 4.
