Minister asks officials to complete Mani-Madikeri road
Karnataka Minister CT Ravi who is also the in-charge of Dakshina Kannada district has warned off initiating criminal action against the KRDCL officials and contractor, if they fail to complete the work on Mani-Madikeri road within the time frame.
Toll to be paid on Pimpalgaon-Gonde h’way from Dec 12
From December 12 motorists from Nashik, Pimpalgaon, Chandwad and Niphad will have to shell out a toll for their journey on the highway between Pimpalgaon and Gonde on Mumbai-Agra highway.
Chennai’s Ayanavaram Road widening to begin soon
Chennai Corporation officials has said that road widening work of the Ayanavaram Road and Raji Street that connects Medavakkam Tank Road and New Avadi Road may finally begin by January. Already the road widening has been delayed by three-years.
Six-lane road to ease Mukarba Chowk traffic
Public Works Department (PWD) of the Delhi Government has envisaged a grandiose plan to decongest Mukarba Chowk in North-West Delhi. It has planned to construct an additional six-lane road on the other side of the supplementary drain from Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar at Mukarba Chowk to Wazirabad along the National Highway-1.
Jharkhand CM inaugurates Ranchi-Patratu road
Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda inaugurated the Ranchi-Patratu road on November 21. The 35.27 km road is constructed at a cost of Rs 203 crore. The road passes through Patratu valley and around 16.6 km of the project is four-lane and the rest is two lane. The road has 10 high mast lights and six bus bays.
SC asks J&K to build safe road to Amarnath pilgrims
The Jammu and Kashmir government has been asked by the Supreme Court on November 22 to pave all the passage from Panchtarni to Amarnath holy cave with pre-fabricated cement tiles to ensure that pilgrims do not slip on the way.
Tiruchi’s alternative alignment for bypass is still elusive
It is still uncertain the new bypass road that is to connect the Tiruchi-Madurai, Tiruchi-Dindigul and Tiruchi-Karur national highways on the outskirts of Tiruchirapalli city. Because no decision has been arrived yet on identifying an alternative alignment since the High Court struck down the plan to lay the road across irrigation tanks.
Airport road in Nagpur to be repaired soon
In Nagpur, the road to the city airport is in a dilapidated condition. The road belongs to airport operator MIHAN India (MIL) that is also responsible for maintaining it.
Pimpri-Chinchwad roads need safety measures
In Pimpri-Chinchwad area, lack of pedestrian safety measures and poor implementation of traffic regulations are troubling citizens to face traffic problems. Even widening of roads has not helped to the citizens, says Paryavaran Sanvardhan Samiti, a group dealing with environmental issues in Pimpri-Chinchwad.
