The government has asked highway developers and banks to put their house in order or prepare for their contracts to be terminated.
While the Prime Minister´s Office (PMO) asked banks to come out with viable solutions for about 16 projects, where NHAI is ready for one-time infusion of funds to aid their completion, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has begun investigating cases of suspected ´diversion of funds´ by developers.
