The Chennai Port Trust has taken up six projects at a cost of over Rs.200 crore to strengthen its capacities and to brace up for competition from neighbouring ports. The projects include construction of coastal berth, two EXIM godowns, development of eastern seashore road, passenger cruise terminal, development of common railway yard and 400 MW solar rooftop.
