In Jharkhand’s Hazaribag, the District Deputy Commissioner ManishRanjan has sanctioned Rs 80 lakh for repair and construction of rural roads and bridges from the development funds that the district received from the state government. The money was sanctioned after the DC reviewed the progress of construction of roads and bridges both in the rural area and the state highways with the engineers of the PWD roads division and the Hazaribag special (rural) division here on Sunday.
Ranjan said for completion of a bridge at the 21st km point on the Hazaribag-Barkagaon-Tandwa road over the hilly river Burmu Nala Rs 111.58 lakh have been released for the bridge and the construction of the approach road.
On the same road at 21.2 km point Rs 79.65 lakhs have been sanctioned for construction of another bridge and approach road on hilly river Budhia Nala In another bridge currently under construction on the Barkagaon -Hazaribag Road at 9.5 km point Rs 193.81 lakhs have been sanctioned for construction of bridge and approach road on river Bokaro a tributary of the river Barakar which also crosses through the N.H.-33 between Hazaribag and Ranchi near Charhi.In another important road at the 11th Km point of the ongoing construction of bridge on the Hazaribag-Katkumsandi-Chatra road Rs 58’76 lakh have been sanctioned.
The DC said that during the monsoon movement of vehicles was badly affected creating huge problems to villagers as well as farmers who bring their agricultural produces to Hazaribag town and the adjoining industrial belts for marketing purposes. The deputy commissioner directed the executive engineer of the PWD (road) Hazaribag division who is executing the construction of the above mentioned road that the to use high quality materials in construction work. so that very purpose of construction of so many bridges are served.
