Three roads in Delhi to be developed at Rs 41 cr
The Delhi government has cleared three road projects worth Rs 41 crore. The Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit sanctioned Rs 15.41 crore for strengthening of the road from Britania Chowk to Outer Ring Road in East Delhi. The road project will be completed within six months.
TN sanctions Rs 250 cr for road Infrastructure
Media reports say that Tamil Nadu government on July 2 sanctioned over Rs 250 crore for different road-related works in different districts of the state. About Rs 157.37 crore was allotted for repairing damaged roads to the coverage of 78.80 km in the Ariyalur and Perambalur districts which are spotted with limestone mines and cement factories.
Centre sanctions funds for Arunachal highway
The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has sanctioned Rs 130.74 crore as compensation to be paid to tribal land owners for acquiring land for construction of a trans-Arunachal highway from Nechiphu in the state's West Kameng district to Hoj in East Kameng district. Hazaribag’s rural roads to be repaired at Rs 80 lakh
In Jharkhand's Hazaribag, the District Deputy Commissioner ManishRanjan has sanctioned Rs 80 lakh for repair and construction of rural roads and bridges from the development funds that the district received from the state government. The money was sanctioned after the DC reviewed the progress of construction of roads and bridges both in the rural area and the state highways with the engineers of the PWD roads division and the Hazaribag special (rural) division here on Sunday.
Kochi Metro project gets Rs 298 cr from Kerala govt
Rs 297.75 crore has been sanctioned for Kochi Metro by the Kerala government on March 28. Out of this, Rs 88.50 crore is State Government's equity share and Rs 209.25 crore is for land acquisition. The State government had sanctioned Rs 19 crore for preparatory works as equity share.
MP gets Centre’s nod to construct 4,675 km roads
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), the Union government has sanctioned 4,675 km long 1,521 new roads costing Rs 1,780 crore to Madhya Pradesh. Following construction of these roads, 1,600 habitats will be linked by all-weather roads with development block, tehsil and district levels, an official release issued in Bhopal said.
Rs 1,920 cr sanctioned for Mumbai Trans-harbour link
The Union Finance Ministry has sanctioned viability gap funding of Rs 1,920 crore for the Mumbai trans-harbour link, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has said. The project, estimated to cost Rs 9,630 crore, will be implemented on public-private partnership mode. The construction period will be for five years.
Rs 6k cr Central funds for 1,325 road work in Arunachal
The Union government has sanctioned a grant of Rs 6,000 crore for the 1,325 kilometre Trans Arunachal Highway project and work on the same is in full swing.
