The stake sale reflects growing investor confidence in India’s renewable EPC segment, as infrastructure scale and policy support converge.

Inox Wind Ltd (IWL), a leading provider of wind energy solutions in India, has announced the sale of a ₹1.75 billion stake in its engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) subsidiary, Inox Renewable Solutions Ltd (IRSL), to institutional investors. The transaction values IRSL at approximately ₹74 billion, following regulatory clearance for the merger of Inox Green’s substation business into IRSL.

IRSL, formerly Resco Global Wind Services Pvt. Ltd, ranks among India’s top two wind EPC service providers. With over 14 years of operational experience, the company delivers turnkey solutions for renewable energy projects, including transmission infrastructure for power evacuation. It is currently developing a multi-gigawatt common infrastructure across strategic sites, particularly in Western India.

Expanding its EPC portfolio, IRSL has launched crane services and transformer manufacturing, while unlocking new revenue streams through hybridisation of transmission assets. This strategic shift aligns with evolving state-level policies that permit hybridisation of both existing and future renewable infrastructure.

IWL’s diversified order book of 3.1 GW and robust pipeline provide strong revenue visibility for IRSL. The parent company operates four manufacturing facilities across Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, with an annual capacity of 2.5 GW. Its 3 MW wind turbine series and in-house production of blades, towers, hubs and nacelles position it as a fully integrated player in India’s clean energy transition.

The stake sale reflects growing investor confidence in India’s renewable EPC segment, as infrastructure scale and policy support converge. With IRSL’s expanded capabilities and IWL’s strategic backing, the group is well placed to capitalise on rising demand for turnkey wind solutions and hybrid transmission assets.
