In order to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the state, Karnataka government plans to set up four ‘Help Desks’ at Japan, Taiwan, United States of America and Germany.
Through the proposed help desks, the government would take initial steps to showcase the state before attracting investments. Further, the state government would attract Angel funding to encourage new and innovative projects. For this, Rs 15 crore has been provided. The state government also proposes to set up a granite park in Chamarajanagar. The state government, meanwhile, would introduce a new Industrial Policy as the present Industrial Policy expires in March, 2014.FlashNews:
