The Indian government is setting up logistics hubs near sea ports with private sector participation to address several challenges related to receiving shipments and also inland transportation of goods. The government is also trying to make electronic data interchanges at major ports that are completely under the control of the Central government.
This was conveyed by Union Commerce Minister Nirmala Sitharaman while inaugurating a conference on ´Strategies for double-digit growth in exports´.
