Karnataka Minister CT Ravi who is also the in-charge of Dakshina Kannada district has warned off initiating criminal action against the KRDCL officials and contractor, if they fail to complete the work on Mani-Madikeri road within the time frame.

Speaking at the tri-monthly KDP review meeting in Mangalore November 24, the Minister said that travelling on the road has become a nightmare for the vehicle users. KRDCL Superintendent engineer said that the road from Mani to Madikeri will be completed by May 31, 2013. The contractor has promised to complete 10 km road by December 31.

On the deplorable condition of the road, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the roads have been dug at Kavu, Puttur, and Sullia, causing severe inconvenience to the vehicle users. To which, the Minister directed the official to complete the work on the road in the town limits on priority basis.
