Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited (BSUL) invites proposals for the development of grid-connected solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh’s 1.2 GW Jalaun Solar Park.
Bundelkhand Saur Urja Limited is a joint venture between state-run hydropower producer NHPC Limited and Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency.
It is appointed by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy for the implementation of the 1.2 GW Jalaun Solar Park under the Ultra Mega Renewable Energy Power Park (UMREPP) scheme.
The proposed park spreads across two locations at the tehsils of Orai and Madhogarh in the district of Jalaun, having areas of 1,213 ha and 1208 ha, respectively. Solar projects will be developed within the 100 MW blocks at both locations.
BSUL would procure power from solar project developers at a fixed rate that would not exceed Rs 2.75/kWh, in consideration of all transmission losses. It would provide land plots/blocks for any capacity not less than 100 MW, having infrastructural facilities according to the UMREPP Scheme.
The selected parties shall develop solar power projects on the allocated land blocks and operate them for 25 years from the date of commercial operation.
