The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) will construct three new bridges on the Godavari river, for decongestion of traffic on roads in Nashik. The bridges will connect the two river banks. As per the Kumbh mela plan of the NMC, the committee formed by the state government and headed by Chief Secretary of the state Jayantkumar Bhantiya has made a provision of Rs 17 crore for the con¡struction of the new bridges.
One of the new bridges will be constructed parallel to the existing Indraprastha bridge at a cost of Rs 6 crore. Another bridge will be constructed parallel to the existing Sant Janardan bridge, near Nandur village. A provision of Rs 6 crore has been made by the committee for the bridge.
The third bridge will be constructed near the sewage treatment plant (STP) of the NMC at Agartakali.
