NTPC commits to add 10,000 MW of solar

NTPC has committed to add 10,000 MW through solar projects at RE-Invest -û 2015, the first renewable energy global investment meet which was held in New Delhi. Dr Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC, presented the certificate of commitment to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of Piyush Goyal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Power, Coal and New & Renewable Energy and PK Sinha, Secretary, Power, GOI. Committed to the solar initiative, NTPC has already floated a Notice Inviting Tender for four solar projects of 250 MW each in Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Rajasthan, and one project of 500 MW in AP.
