Power Finance Corporation has agreed to extend a Rs. 1,112-crore loan to Andhra Pradesh´s power sector, which includes Rs 1,000 crore to bridge the fund requirement post the division of the State and Rs 112 crore for setting up 4,000 solar pump sets. According to a statement from the State Energy Conservation Mission, these assurances were made by MK Goyal, Chairman and Managing Director of PFC, to AP Chief Minister N Chandrababau Naidu during a meeting. In another statement, Power Finance Corporation has said that it has agreed to financially assist in construction of 3,378 toilets in Andhra Pradesh government schools under Swachh Bharat Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan through Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, costing Rs 123 crore.
