Indian Railways has carried 244.81 million tonne and earned revenue from the freight traffic during April-June 2012. The freight carried shows an increase of 11.15 million tonne over the freight traffic of 233.66 million tonne actually carried during the corresponding period last year, registering an increase of 4.77 per cent.
