The Kolkata Port Trust has reported an over 12 per cent growth in traffic to approximately 46.3 million tonne (mt) for FY15 as against the 41.4 mt it reported in the year-ago period. According to a Kolkata Port Trust (KoPT) release, the Kolkata Dock System handled a ¨record high cargo throughput.¨ Cargo throughput, during FY14, increased by nearly 19 per cent.
