Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State for Power, Coal and New and Renewable Energy and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu have jointly released the Andhra Pradesh Solar and Wind Power Policies for 2015. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu interacted with the investors and other stakeholders in the Renewable Energy sector at the Global Investors Summit in New Delhi. The Chief Minister showcased the objectives and policies put forth by his government to smoothen the process of installation of solar and wind power projects and achieve the target of 10,000 MW of renewable energy capacities by 2018-19. Naidu also launched the Online Portal for Single Window Clearance of Renewable Energy Projects in the State. During the occasion several queries of the stakeholders were answered with assurance from the Chief Minister of granting all permissions for their projects within a timeframe of 21 days.
