The Union government has okayed major road projects in Haryana including a six-lane flyover along the national highway-8, construction of flyover at Bahalgarh Chowk and widening of a bridge near Rasoi village in Sonepat district, said the State Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on September 18.

Haryana seeks Centre’s nod for 4 new road projects
For four new mega projects of road network and sewerage system for Faridabad, the Haryana government has sought Centre's nod. The project work
is involving an estimated cost of Rs 495.13 crore. The approval has been sought under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). This was informed in second meeting of State-level Steering Committee on JNNURM chaired by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Chandigarh on August 1.
Haryana okays sanction of Rs 9 cr for Ynagar road works
Haryana government has approved Rs 9.37 crore to repair roads in Yamunanagar district that were damaged because of the recent rains. More than Rs. 1.87 crore will be spent on the construction of roads, cross-drainage structure and 60-metre side ramps on link road from Kaith Kalanour village to Lapra village, the State Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said in a release.

Gurgaon residents complain against Huda over bad roads
Residents of Gurgaon on June 28 wrote a letter to the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to draw his attention towards the bad shape of the approach roads to Sector 21. They urged him to intervene in the matter and arrange for better upkeep of the roads.
Toll plaza on Delhi-Gurgaon highway may be removed
The toll plaza between Delhi and Gurgaon on the national highway is likely to be removed. The toll plaza has become contentious as users had to wait for long, resulting in traffic block. This also led to an intervention by the Punjab High Court last year. This was one of the options discussed in a meeting held between Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and the Union Road Transport Minister CP Joshi in Delhi recently.
CM gives nod for flyover at Gurgaon’s Rana Pratap Chowk
In Haryana, the State Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has approved construction of a flyover at Maharana Pratap Chowk in Gurgaon. Once the flyover comes into being, it could provide a great relief to commuters. The area witnessed regular traffic snarls, especially during rush hour. Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Department will construct the flyover at an estimated cost of Rs 126.14 crore.
Haryana for hydel project in Bhutan
Haryana government is setting up a joint venture hydel power project in Bhutan in partnership with the Royal Government of the independent State. Haryana Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that the State would get 1,500 to 2,000 MW power from Bhutan in next four to five years at rates economical than thermal power.
