CCEA approves three major highway projects across the country
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given its approval to three major highway projects. Briefing the media in Delhi, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government has given its nod to the four-laning of the 80 kilometre long Phagwara-Rupnagar section of NH-344A in Punjab at a cost of Rs.1,444 crore, in Hybrid Annuity Mode.

CCEA approves five port expansion projects
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved five projects involving an investment of over Rs 17,630 crore to increase the capacity of major ports, a government release said. The Union government on October 30 cleared Rs 3,000 crore worth highway widening works in Maharashtra and Punjab. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved four laning of the Aurangabad-Yedeshi highway in Maharashtra at an investment of Rs 2,406.63 crore. Govt okays scheme to set up 750 mw solar plants
