In Kochi, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has finalised plans to begin work on the city's heart line, MG Road, starting next weekend (June 29-30). While work is expected to start in the right earnest only after the Onam festival, the Metro agency will carry out the preparatory work during weekends till September on the stretch.
DMRC has sought the permission to close down the stretch on MG Road between Padma Junction and Abad Plaza hotel on June 29-30 to physically trace utility lines.

Jaipur citizens to ride Metro train by June
Rajasthan has claimed that its capital Jaipur will see the Metro running this June itself. It claimed that the Metro had been constructed in a record time of less than two and half years thanks to the support from the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
