Digitisation can be considered as substitution of traditional analogue formats to collect, process, store, and transfer data by new technologically advanced methods. Putting it in a pedantic outward appearance, digitisation is the conversion of information into a digital layout.
Digitisation plays a vital role in project monitoring
To monitor the progress on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), we have appointed a project management consultancy. In addition to this, we have also developed an in-house Project Monitoring and Implementation System (PMIS), through which we monitor the progress of each and every phase of the project.
Doing more with less
Smart cities will encourage sustainable development. They will also help to optimise resources, to meet the demands of growing urban populations. These cities would also encourage usage of shared services among different utility functions.
Transparent moves
In a bid to try and get to the root cause of the delays that were stalling the implementation of projects in the country, the Project Monitoring Group (PMG) under its Chairman Anil Swarup has initiated a process to digitise the whole procedure through which clearances happen. "Our job at the PMG will get reduced as then we will know why the delays are happening and the clogging will not happen.
