Initial procedures for the flyover work at Edappally junction in Kochi has commenced. The landmarking procedures for the Edappally flyover construction has been started by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
According to DMRC, it has already started earmarking the area in and around the Edappally junction for the four-lane flyover construction.

In Kolkata, the flyover that links Belghoria Expressway with Jessore Road to National Highway 2 and NH 6 was indefinitely closed to traffic on June 11 afternoon after a big chunk of concrete caved in, leaving a gaping hole on the west-bound flank. National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) officials were unwilling to commit on when the expressway would again be opened to traffic. Kerala govt to take up Rs100 bn road projects
The Kerala state cabinet cleared the proposed road or flyover projects across the state under an ambitious Rs 10,000-crore programme. The state government would create a Road Development Fund Board to undertake the projects. The board would implement the projects by taking loan, which would be guaranteed by the state government
Work starts on flyover in Lucknow near ex-CM’s house
Work has started on a flyover at Mall Avenue, which had raised the hackles of BSP supremo Mayawati as it would pass near her residence and party office. The flyover, to be constructed by Uttar Pradesh Bridges Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore, would be 15 m wide, 650 m long and would be completed in 15 months, official sources said. The State government had proposed to construct the flyover in its annual budget.

The intersection connects Old Gurgaon areas with the New Gurgaon through Iffco Chowk and Signature Tower Chowk. Once it comes into being thousands of motorists commuting through the busy MDI Chowk can expect a sigh of relief.

Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) last week began the construction of a 600-metre flyover at Subhash Chowk in New Gurgaon. Once the flyover opens to the public in the area can expect relief from frequent snarls. In Haryana, the State Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has approved construction of a flyover at Maharana Pratap Chowk in Gurgaon. Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Department will construct the flyover at an estimated cost of Rs 126.14 crore.
Work paced up on flyover in Chennai
In Chennai, traffic chaos in the northern neighbourhood is set to ease soon as the flyover in Vyasarpadi that will connect Chennai with the Kolkata highway (NH5) is nearing completion. The four-lane flyover under construction is a ‘Y’-shaped facility similar to the flyover at Rangarajapuram in T. Nagar.
Chennai’s Thiruvanmiyur to get four-lane flyover
In Chennai, work to construct a 1.3 km-long flyover crossing three junctions in Thiruvanmiyur is likely to commence by September. According to the proposal, the flyover will cross the Jayanthi-Theyagaraja theatres junction, the one after the Marundeeswarar temple and the RTO office.
