Kaithal-Ambala highway to be four-laned
The Haryana government has stated that
Kaithal-Ambala national highway would be four-laned at a cost of Rs 728 crore. The State Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said on December 15 that this 90-km-long national highway would benefit three districts of Ambala, Kaithal and Kurukshetra.
Flyover at Hero Honda Chowk to ease traffic woes
To bring a relief to commuters at the Hero Honda Chowk crossing mess on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, the Union Highways Ministry and Haryana government have agreed to construct a flyover at a cost of Rs 100 crore on the existing highway.
Haryana govt to build affordable housing projects
The Haryana government on August 6 announced an affordable housing scheme in collaboration with private firms to provide 1.25 lakh housing units for lower and lower-middle class population in the state. Under the scheme, the government will issue licences to private players for group housing projects with a few conditions. Private builders would be required to furnish bank guarantee before the project was allotted to them.
Haryana seeks Centre’s nod for 4 new road projects
For four new mega projects of road network and sewerage system for Faridabad, the Haryana government has sought Centre's nod. The project work
is involving an estimated cost of Rs 495.13 crore. The approval has been sought under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM). This was informed in second meeting of State-level Steering Committee on JNNURM chaired by Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in Chandigarh on August 1.
Haryana okays sanction of Rs 9 cr for Ynagar road works
Haryana government has approved Rs 9.37 crore to repair roads in Yamunanagar district that were damaged because of the recent rains. More than Rs. 1.87 crore will be spent on the construction of roads, cross-drainage structure and 60-metre side ramps on link road from Kaith Kalanour village to Lapra village, the State Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said in a release.

Haryana emphasises on roads strengthening
The Haryana government is mulling on strengthening all national and State highways, district roads and roads connecting five or more villages. While stating this in Kaithal on March 17, Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Randeep Singh Surjewala said as part of the efforts Kotputli-Rewari-Dadri-Bhiwani Corridor costing Rs 1,350 crore is being constructed.
Haryana appeals for more coal to run its power plants
The Haryana government on February 5 has urged the Centre to initiate steps to make policy changes to make available sufficient quantity of coal for power plants situated in the state, Haryana Power Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said.
