With a population of over a billion people, it's no surprise that fatalities from road accidents in India amount to little more than just statistics. Sometimes, though, a single death makes a difference and plunges an entire nation into grief.
The Major District Road, MDR 31 passes through Shaha and Kolpewadi villages in Sinnar Taluka, District Nashik. It comes under the purview of the Nashik PWD and is an important link connecting the sugarcane producing farms of Sinnar Taluka with sugar mills with heavy traffic during peak seasons.
In Nagpur, the road overbridge (ROB) near GaosiManapur is expected to be complete in a month or so. Once it is completed commuters can hope for reduction in heavy traffic inside the city at night. The outer ring road (ORR) stretch linking Gondkhairi on Amravati Road and GaosiManapur on Wardha Road is complete except for a 150-foot span over the railway line.
