Uttarakhand, HP pact for Rs.10k cr Kishau project
Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh have signed an agreement for the Rs 10,000 crore multi-purpose Kishau hydroelectric project to generate 660 Mw of power.
BHEL starts NTPCs 800-MW Koldam plant
State-owned BHEL said it has commissioned NTPC´s 800-MW Koldam hydro power project in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, which is capable of generating approximately 3,054 GWH annually.
JSW Energy to buy Jaypee´s hydropower assets
JSW Energy will buy three hydropower projects of Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd (JPVL), after Reliance Power Ltd (R-Power) called off its talks to buy the assets, in what it called ´regulatory uncertainties.

Lanco sells hydro power assets
Lanco Infratech has struck a deal with the UK´s renewable energy firm Greenko to sell three hydro power assets with a combined capacity of 80 MW. Lanco Hydro Power has agreed to sell off its entire holding in 70 MW Lanco Budhil Hydro Power Project in Himachal Pradesh to Tejassarnika Hydro Energies, a subsidiary and Indian arm of Greenko. Lanco has agreed to divest two small hydro power plants of 5 MW each located in Himachal Pradesh.
C & C Construction bags Rs 323 cr road contracts
In Himachal Pradesh, infrastructure company C & C Construction has won fresh orders worth Rs 323 crore for widening of two road stretches. Himachal Pradesh Road and Other Infrastructure Development Corporation (HPROIDC) has entrusted the orders to the company, the company stated on October 10.
Himachal re-allots World Bank-funded road project
In Himachal Pradesh, a road project, which was earlier awarded to a Chinese firm Longjian Road and Bridge Company, has been re-allotted to another company. The road project has been funded by the World Bank, officials concerned said in Shimla on September 30. The project is likely to be completed in two years.
