With the commissioning of the 4th and final 130 MW hydro generating unit and Parbati III hydro-electric project (HEP) in Himachal Pradesh, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has successfully commissioned all the four units of the 520 MW underground hydro power plant of NHPC. The first three units of Parbati III HEP were commissioned in February and March 2014. BHEL is presently executing hydro power projects of 5,000 MW which are under various stages of implementation.
