Jharkhand plans to lay transmission lines at an investment of Rs 1,600 crore and has roped in PowerGrid Corporation of India (PGCIL) as consultant for the project.Key private power companies such as Reliance Power,Abhijit group, Adhunik group and the Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) are expected to produce around 7,000 mw in the next 3-4 years.

Railways mull industrial corridor
