Kannur airport project gets land
Kerala government hopes to complete the Kannur airport project on schedule as it has secured land for the project from Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (KINFRA).The first phase of the project would be completed by 2014 and the first flight is expected to land at Kannur airport in 2015.
KINFRA to set up SEZ
The Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA) has obtained approval from the Union Government to set up a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for IT/ITES at the KINFRA Film and Video Park at Kazhakuttam, Thiruvananthapuram. The investors in the park will be eligible for various tax and duty concessions and there will be no need for a special licence for imports.

With 18 industrial parks, Kinfra still believes that KeralaĆ¢ā¬ā¢s best strengths are not fully harnessed. S Ramnath says that facilitation, rather than incentivisation, will be the strategy to attract investment in the export zones.
