A total of Rs 116.685 crore was sanctioned for various road works carried out along the National Highway 61, during the year 2013-14. This was disclosed by the Chief Engineer for Nagaland PWD (NH), in response to an RTI filed by ST Yapang Lkr, from Kohima.

Kohima’s places to be connected by cable cars
Nagaland capital Kohima city's parts are going to be connected by cable cars by ferrying people from one place to the other in the city. The project will be implemented in association with a local partner under the guidance of architect Alfredo Brillembourg, who chairs architecture and urban design at the Swiss Institute of Technology in Zurich.
Kohima roads to be repaired on President’s visit
As President Pranab Mukharjee is scheduled to visit the Nagaland's capital Kohima, authorities concerned are gearing up to give a facelift to the roads. The city's roads were in a sorry state. With the President geared to visit and take some of the disabling routes that connect Kohima city, and the city to other districts, work to touch some of them up has been promised to begin.
