Vasan dedicates two terminals at Kandla Port
The Union Minister of Shipping GK Vasan has dedicated two terminals of the Kandla Port to the nation. Speaking on the occasion at a function in Bangalore recently he said that this port since its inception and especially in the last decade has grown from strength to strength fuelling growth of Kutch, Gujarat and India.

The Union Minister of Shipping GK Vasan dedicated two terminals of the Kandla Port to the nation on November 16. GSPC JV to rope in strategic investor for LNG terminal project
Gujarat State Petronet Corporation (GSPC) and Adani Enterprises (AEL) are jointly setting up a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal at Mundra in GujaratÂ’s Kutch district. GPCB orders closure of Navlakhi Port
Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) asked Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), which runs Navlakhi Port in the gulf of Kutch to stop operation in the port because of air pollution. Navlakhi is an all-weather lighterage working port located in Gulf of Kutch and about 50 km from Morbi in Rajkot district
Home Minister visits Kutch, promises concrete roads
Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on March 25 visited a marshy region, near the disputed Sir Creek, in Kutch and announced that approval for building a concrete road in the region would be given in a weekÂ’s time. Lauding the role of BSF personnel in guarding this difficult terrain, which is prone to infiltration from Pakistan, Shinde assured them that approval for building a concrete road right upto the bank of Harami Nala would be granted in a weekÂ’s time.
Gujarat takes up road broadening work on 3 highways
In Gujarat, as the Adipur-Mundra highway, Bhuj-Anjar highway and Bhachau-Rapar highway have been taken up for broadening work, traveling to Kutch from Saurashtra and Ahmedabad will be quicker. A five meter wide Adipur-Mundra highway will be converted to 10 meter, while Bhuj-Anjar and Bhachau-Rapar both 7-meter wide highways will be converted to 10 meter status.
Gujarat wind power capacity leaps 500%
