In Manipur. a lots of structures put up along Tamenglong-Khongsang road by land owners for claiming compensation after the survey is over has led to delay in taking up road construction work by the BRFT. In Manipur, the delay in the development of roads was due to financial crunch, bandh, blockade and technically unavoidable circumstances faced by the department concerned, said the State Works Minister Kh Ratankumar.

Road repair work on the 220 Km-long Imphal-Moreh highway NH-2 has been initiated ahead of the scheduled Indo-ASEAN car rally. Sources in Manipur PWD informed that the Indo-ASEAN car rally would enter Moreh and pass through the highway on December 15.
