The GVK-led Mumbai International Airport (P) Ltd (MIAL) was handed over the Letter of Award (LoA) from CIDCO, the nodal agency of the Government of Maharashtra for the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

The City and Industrial and Development Corporation (CIDCO) has extended the deadline for submission of Navi Mumbai airport project bids by a fortnight after it attracted only one bidder — GVK group. GVK will also have an opportunity to revise its offer if it so wishes.

The Navi Mumbai airport bidding process is likely to be delayed further with the entry of a fourth player, a consortium of Voluptas Developers (Hiranandani Group) and Zurich Airport, into the fray.
