AP to set up civil aviation board
The Andhra Pradesh Government is considering setting up a State Civil Aviation Board under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to oversee development of new airports in tier II cities.

The Union government will provide financial assistance to develop roads linking rural habitations and in Naxalites affected districts in Andhra Pradesh. Union Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh informed the State Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy that Union Cabinet took important decisions regarding Prime Minister Grameena Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in Andhra Pradesh during meeting held on February 7.

The Union government is likely to approve rural road project proposals of Rs 400.81 crore for 138 road works in Andhra Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Union Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh on January 16 informed this to the State Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy through a letter.
Rs 80 cr for AP airport
For development of Rajahmundry Airport, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy ordered administrative sanction of an additional amount of Rs 80 crore towards the land acquisition.
