For various road works in Nashik city, such as tarring, resurfacing, macadamization, etc, the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has invited bids worth Rs 10.7 crore. The tenders include around 28 various road works in various parts of the city. The road contracts are to be done through private contractors and the last date for filing the bids is next October 3.

Resurfacing to 15 roads in Nashik
In Nashik city, 15 major roads will be resurfaced soon. The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) on August 22 approved a proposal in this regard. The NMC had proposed to resurface the 15 roads after the monsoon and has finalised private contractors for the road work. NMC Standing committee chairman Ramesh Dhongade said that the committee approved the proposal to resurface the 15 roads at a cost of around Rs 14 crore.
AAI interested to be part of Nashik airport development
Nashik District Guardian Minister and State Public Works Department Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has said that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has shown interest in participating in the development work of Ozar airport, around 20 km from Nashik city. The AAI has written to the state government showing willingness to participate in the development of Ozar airport along with the defence ministry, which includes constructing facilities for airplane hangars, taxi ways, night parking, cargo hub, etc
