The maintenance and repair of National Highways is a continuous processes and being maintained in the traffic worthy condition within available recourses. However, the condition of Gurgaon ĆāKotputali-Jaipur section of NH-8 was bad particularly during monsoon. At present this section is maintained by NHAI through concessionaire as per provision of concession agreement.

No cancellation of toll on Jaipur h’way stretch: NHAI
Proposal to suspend toll on the Gurgaon-Jaipur stretch of NH-8 till the completion of widening of the highway was turned down by the board of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on October 22.
Work on Jaipur-Gurgaon h’way stretch to pick up pace
Media reports say that now the decks have been cleared for speeding up of the widening of Jaipur-Gurgaon stretch of national highway (NH -8), which has been pending since a long time. Authorities discussed the pending issue on September 10. It is said that consensus has been reached on the issue between officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Rajasthan State government.
Police suggest 4-point solution to Delhi traffic problems
Delhi police have proposed a four-point proposal to decongest the stretch of NH-8 in the city due to major traffic snarls being faced by commuters because of construction of the Airport Express line along the arterial highway. The plan, submitted to Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure Planning and Engineering Centre (UTTIPEC) after a careful traffic study of the area, suggests the construction of a one-way flyover, two rotaries and widening of the road. Centre blames State’s laxity for delay of NH-8 widening
The Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry has blamed the Rajasthan government's indolence in land acquisition as prime cause for the delay of road projects, especially in the widening of NH-8 between Jaipur and Delhi. According to NHAI officials, the Ministry lists the major reason for delay as the failure of the State government in acquiring land at Shahpura, Pawata , Kotputli and Behror.
