Initial green nod for Mumbai coastal road
An ambitious coastal road from Mumbai´s Nariman Point to Kandivali may be finally taking shape. CM Devendra Fadnavis has told the State Assembly that Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar has given an in-principle approval to the project.

The new Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar promised 'fast clearances' to infrastructure projects in a transparent manner and launched a process for transparent environmental clearance. After assuming charge as Minister of State (Independent) for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, he also said that he would take effective measures to conserve ecology.
Coastal road project on priority
Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that his ministry would take up the project of building a road along Mumbai's Western sea fronton priority. He further claimed he will discuss vital projects affecting the city with Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.
