To raise capital for its L&T Infrastructure Development Projects, the unit that builds roads, ports and other infrastructure, Larsen and Toubro (L&T), IndiaĆās biggest engineering company, is in talks with investors. The company is considering raising money from investors including sovereign and infrastructure funds by March.

Digging of roads trouble Hyderabad citizens
As many agencies are digging up roads in Hyderabad, traffic problems continue to bother the citizens in the city. Private telecom companies and government agencies like the Water Board and the APCPDCL are digging roads in the city for their works.
NHAI to collect toll at Brahmarakootlu on NH 73
Stating that toll collected from commuters is for maintenance of the respective roads, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has stated that it would start collecting toll at Brahmarakootlu between Mangalore and BC Road from December 5. The NHAI has issued a notification to this effect.
Road repairs in Hyd to be given to contractors
Maintenance of about 500 km length of roads in Hyderabad would soon be outsourced by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). In the first phase, main roads will be given for annual maintenance contract and would be extended to other roads in the later phases if it yields good results.
State seeks IAF’s help for road work in border areas
To construct roads bordering China, the Uttarakhand government has sought the Indian Air Force's help to airlift construction material to the border areas. Uttarakhand shares 350 km international border with China. Reports say that China is strengthening its road network on the Indo-China border.
Rs 158.28 lakh for roads, divider works in Varanasi
For construction of four main roads, repairing of road dividers and inter-locking works in Varanasi, a fund of Rs 158.28 lakh had been approved from infrastructure fund of UP Awas and Vikas Parishad on November 17.
Coimbatore civic body to restore 170 km of roads
The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation is to carry out restoration work on 169.1 km of roads across 60 wards in old corporation limits that were dug up as part of laying underground drainage pipelines under the JNNURM project since 2010.
Aurangabad civic body to take up repairs on 18 roads
Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has stated that it would soon start construction of eighteen roads in the city. In the first phase, the municipal body will carry out repairing and resurfacing of these roads with an investment of Rs 15 crore.
UP govt to repair dug up roads in Kanpur
Uttar Pradesh Public Works Department (PWD) will repair and construct the roads dug by Jal Sansthan in Kanpur city. Keeping in view the forthcoming international one-day match to be held in the city, roads in the vicinity of Green Park Stadium would be repaired or would be carpeted, said the State Principal Secretary Rajneesh Dubey on November 8.
Minister for 70-metre roads in Kerala
Keeping in view of the population density in Kerala, roads in the state should be extended to 70 metre width, said the State Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed in Thiruvananthapuram.
