Karnataka gets Rs 1,299 cr to construct rural roads
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the Union government has sanctioned Rs 1,299 crore to Karnataka to build rural roads. This has been conveyed by the Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Karnataka okays Rs 10,044 cr worth projects
The Karnataka government has cleared 10 projects with an investment of over Rs 10,044 crore. The projects are expected to create 14,105 jobs in 10 districts of the state.
Illegal iron ore exports through ports to be probed
The Karnataka government has taken more initiative to probe into the illegal iron ore mining and export through ports in the state. A special court is to be established to try the cases related to the illegal iron ore mining. The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will soon form a cabinet sub-committee to monitor and oversee all investigations.
Bangalore roads to get a facelift at Rs 908 cr
Bangalore city roads will get a face-lift at a cost of Rs 908 crore in the next few months, said the Chief Minister SiddarÂamaiah. He stated this after laying the foundation stone for a grade separator on West of Chord Road in the city.
Karnataka aims to utilise idle airport infra in state
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the State government is to give a fillip to tourism and improve the air transport network in the state. For this, it will announce a new minor airport policy this year. The policy will help in utilising the existing idle airport infrastructure in the state.
