IL&FS bags UP rural electrification project
In Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has received an order from Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam for rural electrification (RE) works. Under the central government's Rajeev Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana scheme, the turnkey project has been awarded to IL&FS and is valued at Rs 149.68 crore.
$360 mn WB loan for UP water project
India has signed an agreement with World Bank for a credit of $360 million for Uttar Pradesh Water Sector Restructuring Project Phase-II. The agreement for the credit was signed in Delhi recently by Nilaya Mitash, Joint Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance on behalf of the Government of India and Onno Ruhl, Country Director, World Bank on behalf of the World Bank.
