Of the total plan outlay of Rs 69,200 crore for Uttar Pradesh in 2013-14, the state government plans to spend more than 20 per cent on upgrading economic infrastructure. Further, the state government proposed to spend 32 per cent of the outlay on social infrastructure. This was informed by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav to Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia during a meeting to finalise the plan outlay.
