Dhamra Port Company Ltd (DPCL) is an equal joint venture (JV) between the Tatas and Larsen & Toubro (L&T). DPCL is implementing the Dhamra port development project. The port has sought 745 acre of land to facilitate its second phase expansion. This project phase is likely to cost Rs 10,000 crore. The Government of Odisha has given in-principle nod to allot land. The expansion project includes increasing its berth strength from 2 to 13 and upgrade cargo handling capacity four-fold from 25 to 100 MTPA in 5 years.
