In West Bengal, power plants this year have comfortable stocks of coal when compared to the same time last year. The power plants in the same time last year were struggling for coal with stock down to critical limit of four days. This year though, the scene is strikingly different with record coal stock at most units. The power situation in the state hasn’t been this reassuring during summer for a long time.
