Increasing public resentment against widening of Bangalore's Sankey Road and Sampige Road is forcing BBMP to take a serious relook at the project. BBMP official admits that a few stretches along these two roads need no widening, including between Bhashyam Circle and Cauvery Junction on Sankey Road. Besides, the road to Sriramapura from Sampige Road requires acquisition of many properties, and is proving expensive for fund-hit BBMP.
