Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Ali Muhammad Sagar on May 15 said the Nowpora-Rainawari stretch would be completed by October this year. The State government has taken serious note of delay in widening of the Syed Mirakh Shah Road in Shaher-e-Khaas. Sagar directed the officers to ensure that the road widening from Nowpora to Rainawari on the prestigious Syed Mirakshah Road is completed by October end and the necessary acquisitions if any are done as early as possible.
In a statement, he also directed the officials concerned to hold HLC meetings on regular basis, so that the compensation cases are decided within the shortest possible time. The Minister also “directed the officers to ensure that the link road connecting Wazapora and Mirwaiz Manzil road is completed for the convenience of general public.
He also asked them to speed up the acquisition of the properties at Zainakadal, so that the beautification project of the area on heritage pattern is speeded up.
The Minister was addressing officials during a review meeting convened to discuss the status of implementation of various developmental programmes undertaken by the government for ensuring the holistic development of Srinagar.
