In three days, you will be able to get an experience of what driving on Bangalore roads in the near future will be like. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has sanctioned a pilot project to develop Park House Road in front of Karnataka Public Services Commission office, behind Vidhana Soudha, into a high-quality concrete road.
The project, costing Rs 25 lakh, will see a road of international standards with a six-inch topping of high-quality concrete mixed with 1 mm fibre granules (for proper concrete) bonding, to guarantee a road that is smooth and pothole-free for at least 30 years. The road is being laid with ready mix concrete (RMC) using machinery worth Rs 2.5 crore, belonging to the German company Wirtgen GmbH. When ready, the road will be white in colour instead of the black tar roads.
