The Nagaland government has formed a High Power Committee (HPC) on August 17 to better the condition of roads in Dimapur district, said the State Roads and Bridges (R&B) Minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu. The move comes in the wake of concerns expressed by the public over road condition in Dimapur district.
According to the Minister the HPC is to facilitate various road improvement projects in Dimapur district and would implement and supervise construction of roads.
Service lane between Purana Bazar to Chumukedima; widening of road from NH 29 to CIHSR; construction of a 2-lane road along perimeter of the Nagaland Zoological Park; dismantling of building at the entrance of the Agri-Expo gate; 2-lane road to the Multi-purpose Sports Complex (Dimapur Stadium) and 2-lane road from NH 29 to ICFAI University area (6th Mile) are the some of the works the HPC has been assigned by the government.
