Suzlon Group firm Senvion SE has bagged orders worth over Rs 420 crore for setting up wind power projects having nearly 64 MW capacity in the UK. Three of them are repeat orders. RES has placed an order for a 28.7 MW wind plant, Suzlon said in a statement. Besides, John Laing has given a contract for a 14.35 MW project, InfraRed Capital Partners (10.2 MW) and Broadview Energy (10.25 MW).

The last three are repeat orders, the statement said. These orders would be worth more than Rs 420 crore, according to sources. The cost for setting up 1 MW wind power generation capacity is estimated to be Rs 6-7 crore.
