The Tamil Nadu Government has sanctioned Rs.150 crore for immediate restoration of roads damaged by the recent rain and floods. Of the total amount, Rs.86.75 crore has been allocated to the four worst-affected districts of Thiruvallur (Rs.26 crore), Kancheepuram (Rs,24 crore), Cuddalore (Rs.24 crore) and Chennai (Rs.12.75 crore). The remaining Rs.63.25 crore has been sanctioned to other affected districts.
