The Pink City would have a fully functional Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) to monitor traffic and make movement safe for commuters. Under this, the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is all set to introduce a smart signalling system that will measure traffic pressure on a stretch and change signals accordingly. The project has been taken under the Smart City project and initially would be installed on a 2 km stretch between the airport and Jagatpura.
JDA is developing the infrastructure for this system. ´The new traffic system will considerably ease commuting on the roads. The sensor-enabled traffic lights would manage traffic depending on the volume during rush hour,´said an engineer of the JDA.
